Chapter 6

Chelsea's knees began to hurt, but she remained kneeling on the hard wooden floor of her husband's house. She dipped the rag back into the bucket of lukewarm soapy water and continued scrubbing the floor. She felt a breeze coming in from the window. The cold gave her goose bumps and made her bare nipples hard.

Her husband had ordered her not to wear anything but her chastity belt that day, and she had obeyed his request. Chelsea felt nervous at the thought of being exposed, even when she was in her own house. The nervousness made her excited. She wanted nothing more than to please her husband. When she did what he asked, she always felt warm and damp between her legs.

When she finished scrubbing the floors, she began her other chores for the day. She sat curled up in her husband's armchair and read. Then she practiced writing just as he had asked. This time he had asked her to write anything she liked. James knew that his wife was smart and creative. Although she needed practice, he didn't want her to get bored with the chores he gave her. He wanted to stimulate her mind, inspire her, and help her grow.

He had given her a notebook to keep track of her progress. Sometimes she wrote lists of new words or things to do in it. Sometimes she wrote little stories or questions about the books she had read. When James read through her work, he always praised her for working so hard. He loved how hardworking and thoughtful his wife was.

Chelsea wrote, her delicate fingers wrapped around the pen and formed words that had previously only been incomprehensible symbols. Her husband had given her some liberties by teaching her. She always wanted to be able to read and write. As a child, Chelsea had often come up with imaginative and complex stories to pass the time, but she had never been able to write them down. Now she could. And her husband was responsible for it.

Whenever Chelsea thought of James, she thought of how lucky she was to have a man like him. So many of her friends had married into rich families or had married quickly. Yet none of them seemed as happy and fulfilled as she was. When the other girls talked about their husbands, they sounded tired and angry. But Chelsea never felt that way with James. He gave her both attention and correction. He taught her and made her laugh. Most of all, he always made sure that she was taken care of.

Sometimes she felt sad thinking about her husband. He was a lot nicer than she deserved. Maybe that was why she had such a strong loyalty to James. The way he looked after her and cared for her made her all the more ready to obey him. She had a deep admiration for her husband. She wanted to obey his orders. It was a calling for her, this deep longing to serve him.
